Meet Our Doctors

Dr. MacMillan was born in Huntsville Alabama. He and his wife Ginger were high school sweethearts. Dr. MacMillan graduated from Huntingdon College in Montgomery Alabama. He then attended the University of Alabama School of Optometry in Birmingham graduating in 1993. Dr. MacMillan purchased the practice in Clinton in the fall of 1993. Ginger and Dr. MacMillan have 3 children, Austin, Isaac and Carley. He resides in Clinton and is a very active member of First Baptist Church of Clinton. He serves as a deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. Dr. MacMillan is a member of the Lions club and the Exchange Club. In addition to his busy practice, Dr. MacMillan provides no cost eye exams and glasses to residents of Miracle Hill Mission in Spartanburg and the Good Shepards Clinic in Clinton. All of his offices collect used eyeglasses that he distributes to third world countries during his annual mission trips all across the world. In his spare-time Dr. MacMillan enjoys camping and hiking with his family, and racquetball. It is Dr. MacMillan's goal is to treat everyone as family. By delivering the best possible care along with the best products, MacMillan Optical strives to provide each patient with excellent service, ensuring a truly fantastic experience in each of the four locations.

Dr. Anderson has been with Spartanburg Vision since 2004. In 2008, he transitioned from an associate position to a partnership with Dr. MacMillan. Dr. Anderson earned his Bachelor of Science at the College of Charleston in South Carolina and his Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is a member in good standing of both the American Optometric Association and the South Carolina Optometric Association. Dr. Anderson grew up in Spartanburg and is very happy to be practicing in his hometown. He enjoys outdoor recreation and loves taking weekend trips to the mountains or the beach. He is an active member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church.

Spartanburg Community College (SCC) (Formerly Spartanburg Technical College or Spartanburg Tech ), is a public, suburban, two-year comprehensive, open-admission institution of higher education serving the citizens of Spartanburg. Cherokee. and Union counties in Upstate South Carolina. The College advances economic development of the region through programs, services and partnerships that address emerging and continuing employment needs in a rapidly changing global environment. The College promotes lifelong learning and helps students reach their personal and professional goals. A recent name change has taken effect in late 2006, with the "Technical" being dropped, and now has come to be known as Spartanburg Community College.

Dr. Dan Terhune has been the college president since 1996 and he has successfully improved the College. Cherokee County Campus-Business Training, Freightliner Service Center. Duncan, South Carolina-Tyger River Campus. The student enrollment has consistently increased over the past ten years.

On its 80-acre campus in South Carolina, Sherman offers a first professional degree program unique in its approach to health care and known globally for the skill and art of chiropractic delivered by graduates. Sherman College is one of just 18 chiropractic colleges in the United States and the only one in the Carolinas. The college's on-campus Health Center (where senior students intern under the close supervision of licensed doctors of chiropractic) provides quality and affordable chiropractic care to the local community. He ran a successful chiropractic office for 19 years, frequently speaks at key industry events, and is dedicated to serving the profession.

Since Dr. Cordero took office, the college has nearly doubled in enrollment while other schools have seen limited growth. He maintains an aggressive travel, speaking and recruiting schedule. During his tenure, the college has partnered with many local nonprofit community groups, providing value through chiropractic care and academic contributions. In addition, the college has signed nearly a dozen academic partnership agreements and created pre-chiropractic programs with institutions across the nation and around the world.
